Keepsake box Mahogany flame with satinwood cross band inlay. The top has a mahogany flame center with a complex banded inlay and African satinwood cross band. I make these smaller boxes using materials left from larger projects. The center part of the top is a mahogany flame piece not large enough to use on a table or larger piece of furniture, the complex banded inlay is left from a large chest of drawers, the African satinwood cross band is the same as used on some dining tables I made a few years ago. By doing this I am fully using materials that might otherwise wind up in a landfill. All are high quality, first class materials. Other shops most likely throw them away when they finish large projects. I make these boxes entirely by hand in my shop in Chattanooga, TN, near the foot of Lookout Mountain. A serene and peaceful place to create. Size is 5" x 7" x 4".
