Wood keepsake or jewelry box American Burl Walnut top with quarter sawn English brown oak inlay, sides are quarter sawn walnut. An incredibly attractive box with dense walnut burl, more attractive in person. The top has a lot of depth, draws you in. The English brown oak inlay creates some structure around the edge and compliments the burnt umber brown of the walnut. The quarter sawn walnut on the sides has what looks like a pinch in the grain on the front. Brass hinges. All hand made, inlay is cut and fitted by hand. Finish is a gloss hand polish clear, no stain used. Box is 8" x 10" x 4" deep. I make these boxes entirely by hand in my shop in Chattanooga, TN, near the foot of Lookout Mountain. A serene and peaceful place to create.
