I am a lifelong furniture maker and artist. I have always worked with wood and created fine furniture, restored antiques and something different every now and then. I rescue and reclaim materials from a lot of sources and develop useful, beautiful and lower impact products, preventing more landfill volumn.

Keepsake Box Rustic Red Cedar Wood Beautiful, Warm Red and Yellow Colors

Wood Keepsake Box, solid red cedar wood from trees felled during the tornadoes of April 2011 in Chattanooga, TN. Beautiful, warm and inviting look and feel to this box. Deep red orange and yellows make this really stand out. Perfect in a cabin, log home or with southwestern ranch decor. Box size is 5" x 12 3/4" x 6" tall overall, with a hinged lid. The wood for this was sawn from logs, dried properly. I make the boxes by hand and sand them by hand with 320 grit sandpaper and hand polish them with appropriate clear finish. This is finished with tung oil.
