I am a lifelong furniture maker and artist. I have always worked with wood and created fine furniture, restored antiques and something different every now and then. I rescue and reclaim materials from a lot of sources and develop useful, beautiful and lower impact products, preventing more landfill volumn.

Solid Southern Pine Keepsake Box Rustic, Natural Surface Leather Hinges

Very Rustic, natural surface wood keepsake or trinket box. Southern heart pine from Tennessee, this lumber is about 125 years old from an old house I dismantled and still has the original, rough sawn surface. Great solid rustic, warm feeling, the amber/golden brown color of this pine is wonderful. Box size is 5" x 12" x 4", great almost any where-dresser, desk, shelf. The leather hinges add to the rustic feeling and work very well. All handmade, any parts needing cutting or shaping made with hand tools to maintain character. The top edges and feet are matte finish black.
